Summary

Sub-section (1) states that the official name of this law is the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.

Sub-section (2) says that this law applies to the entire country of India.

Sub-section (3) provides that the law will take effect on a date chosen by the Central Government, which will announce that date through a notice published in the Official Gazette.

(1) This Act may be called the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.
