Arbitration and Conciliation Act Section 42B — Protection of action taken in good faith
CHAPTER X — Miscellaneous
Civil
Summary
No suit or other legal proceedings can be brought against an arbitrator for anything done, or intended to be done, in good faith under this Act or its rules or regulations. This means the arbitrator is protected from legal action when acting honestly and within the scope of the law, even if the outcome is not what a party wanted. The protection covers both actions already taken and actions planned, as long as they are done in good faith.
