Summary

Sub-section (1) states that, unless any current law says otherwise or the parties have agreed differently, this Part applies to conciliation of disputes that come from a legal relationship, whether that relationship is based on a contract or not. It also applies to all proceedings connected to such conciliation.

Sub-section (2) states that this Part does not apply where, under any current law, certain disputes cannot be submitted to conciliation at all.

(1) Save as otherwise provided by any law for the time being in force and unless the parties have otherwise agreed, this Part shall apply to conciliation of disputes arising out of legal relationship, whether contractual or not and to all proceedings relating thereto.

(2) This Part shall not apply where by virtue of any law for the time being in force certain disputes may not be submitted to conciliation.
