BNSS Section 204 — Place of trial for offences triable together

CHAPTER XIV JURISDICTION OF THE CRIMINAL COURTS IN INQUIRIES AND TRIALS

Criminal

Summary

If a person has committed multiple offences that can be tried together in a single trial under the rules in sections 242, 243, or 244, or if several people have committed offences that can be tried together under section 246, then any court that has the authority to investigate or try any one of those offences can handle the entire case. This means the trial does not have to take place in a specific court for each separate offence.
