Summary

In every trial that takes place in a Sessions Court, the government's side of the case must be handled by a Public Prosecutor. This means the person presenting the evidence and arguments against the accused will be a lawyer appointed by the state.

In every trial before a Court of Session, the prosecution shall be conducted by a Public Prosecutor.
