Summary

When the High Court or the State Government gives someone the authority to act under this law, they can do so by naming that person directly, by referring to their job title, or by giving the power to a whole group of officials based on their official positions. The order granting this power becomes effective from the date it is officially communicated to the person who receives it.

Official Text

(1) In conferring powers under this Sanhita, the High Court or the State Government, as the case may be, may, by order, empower persons specially by name or in virtue of their offices or classes of officials generally be their official titles.

(2) Every such order shall take effect from the date on which it is communicated to the person so empowered.
