Summary

When a person is sentenced to imprisonment under this Chapter, the time they have already spent in detention during the investigation or trial can be counted towards their final sentence. This is done in the same way as it is done for other parts of this law, following the rules in section 468.

Official Text

The provisions of section 468 shall apply, for setting off the period of detention undergone by the accused against the sentence of imprisonment imposed under this Chapter, in the same manner as they apply in respect of the imprisonment under other provisions of this Sanhita.
