BNSS Section 398 — Witness protection scheme

Summary

Every state government must create and officially announce a Witness Protection Scheme for that state. The purpose of this scheme is to make sure that witnesses are kept safe.

Official Text

Every State Government shall prepare and notify a Witness Protection Scheme for the State with a view to ensure protection of the witnesses.
