BNSS Section 470 — Return of warrant on execution of sentence

Summary

Once a sentence has been fully carried out, the officer responsible for executing it must send the warrant back to the court that issued it. The officer must also write and sign a note on the warrant explaining exactly how the sentence was carried out.

Official Text

When a sentence has been fully executed, the officer executing it shall return the warrant to the Court from which it is issued, with an endorsement under his hand certifying the manner in which the sentence has been executed.
