CHAPTER XXXVIII LIMITATION FOR TAKING COGNIZANCE OF CERTAIN OFFENCES

Summary

If an offence is ongoing or repeated over time, the time limit for taking legal action resets at each moment the offence continues. This means that as long as the offence is still happening, a new limitation period starts again and again.

Official Text

In the case of a continuing offence, a fresh period of limitation shall begin to run at every moment of the time during which the offence continues.
