BNSS Section 76 — Warrant directed to police officer

Summary

A warrant that is addressed to a specific police officer can also be carried out by any other police officer, as long as the name of that other officer is written on the warrant by the officer to whom the warrant was originally directed or endorsed.

A warrant directed to any police officer may also be executed by any other police officer whose name is endorsed upon the warrant by the officer to whom it is directed or endorsed.
