BSA Section 32 — Relevancy of statements as to any law contained in law books including electronic or digital form

CHAPTER II RELEVANCY OF FACTS — Statements made under special circumstances

General

Summary

When a court needs to decide what the law of any country is, it can rely on a statement of that law found in a book that claims to be printed or published, including in electronic or digital form, under the authority of that country's government and that claims to contain such law. A report of a ruling by the courts of that country, contained in a book that claims to be a report of such rulings, including in electronic or digital form, is also relevant for this purpose. The section does not specify how much of such a statement is to be proved.
