Summary

If a person is arrested under the Code of Civil Procedure for any reason other than to enforce a court decree, the rules about arrest, detention, and release found in sections 55, 57, and 59 of the same Code will apply to them as much as possible. This means the arrested person gets the same basic protections and procedures that are given to someone arrested for not paying a court-ordered debt.
