Summary
The rules for conducting a regular lawsuit in a civil court also apply, as much as possible, to all other types of legal proceedings in that court. This includes certain types of proceedings like those under Order IX of the Code, but it does not apply to proceedings under Article 226 of the Constitution.

The procedure provided in this Code in regard to suits shall be followed, as far as it can be made applicable, in all proceedings in any Court of civil jurisdiction.
Explanation.— In this section, the expression "proceedings" includes proceedings under Order IX, but does not include anyproceedings under article 226 of the Constitution.
