Civil

Summary

If a law or the Code of Civil Procedure does not say otherwise, any legal case or application that can be started by or against a person can also be started by or against someone who claims rights through that person. This means that a person who inherits or otherwise takes over the legal position of another can step into their shoes for the purpose of filing or facing a case.
