Companies Act Section 378Y — Quorum
CHAPTER XXI
Commercial / Corporate
Summary
Unless the company's articles of association require a larger number, the quorum for a general meeting is one-fourth of the total membership. This means that, by default, at least a quarter of all members must be present for the meeting to be validly held. If the articles set a higher requirement, that higher number applies instead.
Official Text
