Summary

The High Court is given the same powers that it would have under Chapters XXIX and XXX of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, in matters of appeal and revision. This applies as if the Special Court, located within the High Court's area of jurisdiction, were a Court of Session trying cases in that same area. In simpler terms, the High Court can handle appeals and revisions from the Special Court in the same way it would handle those from a regular sessions court.

The High Court may exercise, so far as may be applicable, all the powers conferred by Chapters XXIX and XXX of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (2 of 1974) on a High Court, as if a Special Court within the local limits of the jurisdiction of the High Court were a Court of Session trying cases within the local limits of the jurisdiction of the High Court.
