Summary
The Parliament of India is made up of three parts: the President, the Council of States (also called Rajya Sabha), and the House of the People (also called Lok Sabha). Together, these form the national legislature for the entire country.
Official Text
There shall be a Parliament for the Union which shall consist of the President and two Houses to be known respectively as the Council of States and the House of the People.
