Hindu Marriage Act Section 27 — Disposal of property
General
Summary
In any case brought under this Act, the court can include terms in its final order about how to handle property that was given around the time of the marriage and is owned jointly by both the husband and wife. The court decides what is fair and proper for that property. This applies only to property that belongs to both spouses together, not to property owned by just one of them.
