IEA Section 35 — Relevancy of entry in public record or an electronic record made in performance of duty
Chapter 2
Civil
Summary
An entry in a public or official book, register, record, or electronic record can be used as evidence if it states a fact that is important to the case. This applies when the entry was made by a government employee as part of their official duties, or by any other person who was legally required to make that entry under the law of the country where the record is kept. The entry itself is considered a relevant fact.
