Summary

If a person takes part in a fight in a public place that disturbs the peace, they can be punished. The punishment can be imprisonment for up to one month, a fine of up to one hundred rupees, or both. The court may decide the type of imprisonment and the exact amount of fine.

Official Text

Whoever commits an affray, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to one month, or with fine which may extend to one hundred rupees, or with both.
