IPC Section 171E — Punishment for bribery

Summary

Whoever is found guilty of bribery can be sent to jail for up to one year, or fined, or both. The type of imprisonment can be either simple or rigorous.

Official Text

Whoever commits the offence of bribery shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to one year, or with fine, or with both;
