Summary

If a person deliberately makes the air dirty or polluted in any location, and that pollution becomes harmful to the health of people who live, work, or travel nearby, that person can be fined up to five hundred rupees. This section covers only the act of intentionally spoiling the air in a way that affects the general public in the area.

Official Text

Whoever voluntarily vitiates the atmosphere in any place so as to make it noxious to the health of persons in general dwelling or carrying on business in the neighbourhood or passing along a public way, shall be punished with fine which may extend to five hundred rupees.
