Summary

The term "electronic record" in this law refers to the definition given in the Information Technology Act, 2000. That definition covers any data, record, or document created, stored, or transmitted in electronic form. So, whenever this law uses the words "electronic record," it means the same thing as defined in that other Act.

Official Text

The words “electronic record” shall have the meaning assigned to them in clause (t) of sub-section (1) of section 2 of the Information Technology Act, 2000.
