Summary

If a person causes someone else's death by acting rashly or carelessly, and that act does not amount to the more serious crime of culpable homicide, that person can be punished. The punishment can be imprisonment for up to two years, a fine, or both.

Official Text

Whoever causes the death of any person by doing any rash or negligent act not amounting to culpable homicide shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to two years, or with fine, or with both.
