Summary

If a person who has been given property to transport as a carrier, or to store as a wharfinger or warehouse-keeper, commits criminal breach of trust regarding that property, they can be imprisoned for up to seven years and also fined. This section applies only to those specific roles—carrier, wharfinger, or warehouse-keeper—and not to other types of trustees.

Whoever, being entrusted with property as a carrier, wharfinger or warehouse-keeper, commits criminal breach of trust, in respect of such property, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to seven years, and shall also be liable to fine.
