IPC Section 444 — Lurking house-trespass by night

Summary

If a person secretly enters a house with the intent to commit an offence, and does this after sunset but before sunrise, the law calls this "lurking house-trespass by night." This section simply defines that specific term for when the trespass happens during the night hours.

Whoever commits lurking house-trespass after sunset and before sunrise, is said to commit “lurking house-trespass by night”.
