Summary

If several people jointly own goods and together hand them over to someone else for safekeeping or another purpose, that person holding the goods may return them to any one of those joint owners, or follow the instructions of any one of them, without needing the permission of the other joint owners. This applies only if there is no agreement among the parties that says something different.

If several joint owners of goods bail them, the bailee may deliver them back to, or according to the directions of, one joint owner without the consent of all in the absence of any agreement to the contrary.
