Summary
The principal can cancel the agent’s authority at any time before the agent has actually used that authority in a way that creates a legal obligation for the principal. This right to revoke is subject to any exceptions stated in the immediately preceding section.
Official Text
The principal may, save as is otherwise provided by the last preceding section, revoke the authority given to his agent at any time before the authority has been exercised so as to bind the principal.
