Summary
Contracts made through an agent, and obligations that come from things an agent does, can be enforced in the same way and carry the same legal effects as if the principal had made those contracts or done those acts personally. In other words, the law treats the principal as if they acted directly, so the principal is bound by and can benefit from the agent’s actions just as if they had done them themselves.
