Information Technology Act Section 81 — Act to have overriding effect
CHAPTER XIII MISCELLANEOUS
Cyber Law
Summary
This Act will apply even if some other law that is currently in force has rules that conflict with it. In such a situation, the provisions of this Act will win over the other law.
However, this Act does not stop anyone from exercising any right given to them under the Copyright Act, 1957 or the Patents Act, 1970. Those rights remain unaffected.
