Summary

Sub-section (1) allows the Central Government to issue an order, published in the Official Gazette, to make provisions it considers necessary or suitable for removing any difficulty that arises in implementing this Act. These provisions must not conflict with anything already stated in the Act. However, this power is time-limited: no such order can be made after three years have passed from the date this Act came into force.

Sub-section (2) requires that every order made under this section be placed before each House of Parliament as soon as reasonably possible after it is made.

(1) If any difficulty arises in giving effect to the provisions of this Act, the Central Government may, by order published in the Official Gazette, make such provisions, not inconsistent with the provisions of this Act as appear to it to be necessary or expedient for removing the difficulty:

Provided that no such order shall be made after the expiry of a period of three years from the date of commencement of this Act.

(2) Every order made under this section shall, as soon as may be after it is made, be laid before each House of Parliament.
