General
Summary
If a promissory note says it must be paid a certain time after it is shown to the maker, it must be shown to that person for their sighting. This must be done by someone entitled to demand payment, within a reasonable time after the note is made, during business hours on a business day, and only if the maker can be found with a reasonable search. If this showing is not done, then no one who is a party to the note is responsible to the person who failed to do the showing.

A promissory note, payable at a certain period after sight, must be presented to the maker thereof for sight (if he can after reasonable search be found) by a person entitled to demand payment, within a reasonable time after it is made and in business hours on a business day. In default of such presentment, no party thereto is liable thereon to the person making such default.
