CHAPTER VIII PROCEDURE AND POWERS OF SPECIAL COURTS AND RECORDING OF EVIDENCE
Criminal
Summary
Sub-section (1) requires the Special Court to make sure that a child is not exposed to the accused in any way while the child's evidence is being recorded. At the same time, the court must ensure that the accused can still hear the child's statement and is able to communicate with their own lawyer.
Sub-section (2) explains how the court can achieve this. For the purpose of sub-section (1), the Special Court may record the child's statement through video conferencing, or by using single visibility mirrors, curtains, or any other device.
