Summary
This section states that the provisions of this Act are in addition to, and not in place of, any other law that is currently in force. This means the Act does not replace or reduce the effect of other laws.
If there is any inconsistency between this Act and any other law, the provisions of this Act will have overriding effect over the other law, but only to the extent of that inconsistency.
Official Text
The provisions of this Act shall be in addition to and not in derogation of the provisions of any other law for the time being in force and, in case of any inconsistency, the provisions of this Act shall have overriding effect on the provisions of any such law to the extent of the inconsistency.
