CHAPTER VII DUTIES AND POWERS OF DISTRICT OFFICER

Summary

The District Officer has two specific duties under this section.

Under clause (a), the District Officer must monitor that the Local Committee submits its report on time.

Under clause (b), the District Officer must take the necessary steps to involve non-governmental organisations for spreading awareness about sexual harassment and the rights of women.

The District Officer shall, —

(a) monitor the timely submission of report furnished by the Local Committee;

(b) take such measures as may be necessary for engaging non-governmental organisations for creation of awareness on sexual harassment and the rights of the women.
