Summary
Where a contract involves the sale of goods by description, the law implies a condition that the goods must match that description. This means the buyer is entitled to receive goods that correspond exactly to how they were described in the contract.
If the sale is by sample as well as by description, it is not enough for the bulk of the goods to match the sample. The goods must also match the description given in the contract, so both the sample and the description must be satisfied.

Where there is a contract for the sale of goods by description, there is an implied condition that the goods shall correspond with the description; and, if the sale is by sample as well as by description, it is not sufficient that the bulk of the goods corresponds with the sample if the goods do not also correspond with the description.
