Summary

The parts of the Indian Contract Act, 1872 that have not been repealed will keep applying to contracts for the sale of goods. This is only true where those Contract Act provisions do not conflict with what this Sale of Goods Act specifically says. If there is any inconsistency, the express provisions of this Act will take priority.

Official Text

The unrepealed provisions of the Indian Contract Act, 1872, save in so far as they are inconsistent with the express provisions of this Act, shall continue to apply to contracts for the sale of goods.
