Summary
If a fire insurance policy is assigned to someone through an endorsement or a written document, and that person has full ownership of the insured property at the time of the assignment, then that person gets all the legal rights to sue on the policy. This means they can take legal action as if the insurance contract had been made directly with them.

Every assignee by endorsement or other writing, of a policy of insurance against fire, in whom the property in the subject insured shall be absolutely vested at the date of the assignment, shall have transferred and vested in him all rights of suit as if the contract contained in the policy had been made with himself.] 2[
