Transfer of Property Act Section 20 — When unborn person acquires vested interest on transfer for his benefit
CHAPTER I PRELIMINARY
General
Summary
If property is given for the benefit of a person who is not yet born at the time of the transfer, that person automatically gets a vested interest in the property the moment they are born. This means their right to the property is fixed and secure from birth, even if they do not get to actually use or enjoy the property right away. This happens unless the terms of the transfer clearly show a different intention.
