As the section puts it: “shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to three years, or with fine, or with both”
Summary
Whoever dishonestly or fraudulently hides or moves any property, whether it is their own or someone else's, or dishonestly or fraudulently helps in hiding or moving such property, or dishonestly gives up any demand or claim they are entitled to, will be punished with imprisonment of either kind for up to three years, or with a fine, or with both.
Official Text
Whoever dishonestly or fraudulently conceals or removes any property of himself or any other person, or dishonestly or fraudulently assists in the concealment or removal thereof, or dishonestly releases any demand or claim to which he is entitled, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to three years, or with fine, or with both.
