CHAPTER XXIII PLEA BARGAINING

Summary
Anything a person accused of a crime says in their plea bargaining application under section 290 can only be used for the purposes of that plea bargaining process. Those statements cannot be used against them for any other reason, even if other laws would normally allow it.
Official Text
Notwithstanding anything contained in any law for the time being in force, the statements or facts stated by an accused in an application for plea bargaining filed under section 290 shall not be used for any other purpose except for the purpose of this Chapter.
