Summary

A person who has been arrested cannot be tied, handcuffed, or held in any way that is more forceful than what is needed to stop them from running away. The law only allows the minimum amount of physical restraint required to keep the person from escaping.

Official Text

The person arrested shall not be subjected to more restraint than is necessary to prevent his escape.
