Summary

Every individual who intends to be appointed as a director of a company must apply to the Central Government for a Director Identification Number. This application must be made in the form, manner, and with the fees that are prescribed by the government.

The Central Government may prescribe any identification number that will be treated as a Director Identification Number for this purpose.
