Summary
A magistrate, police officer, or revenue officer cannot be forced to reveal the source of any information they received about a crime or about an offence against public revenue. This means they are not required to disclose who gave them the tip or report.
Official Text
No Magistrate or police officer shall be compelled to say whence he got any information as to the commission of any offence, and no Revenue officer shall be compelled to say whence he got any information as to the commission of any offence against the public revenue.
