Summary

The court must stop any question that it believes is meant to insult or annoy a witness. Even if a question is otherwise acceptable, the court can also forbid it if the way it is asked seems unnecessarily rude or offensive.

Official Text

The Court shall forbid any question which appears to it to be intended to insult or annoy, or which, though proper in itself, appears to the Court needlessly offensive in form.
