IEA Section 85C — Presumption as to Digital Signature Certificates

Summary

A court must assume that the details in a Digital Signature Certificate are true, unless someone proves otherwise. However, this assumption does not apply to any subscriber information that is marked as not verified. This rule only applies if the person who received the certificate has accepted it.

The Court shall presume, unless contrary is proved, that the information listed in a Digital Signature Certificate is correct, except for information specified as subscriber information which has not been verfied, if the certificate was accepted by the subscriber.
