IPC Section 121 — Waging, or attempting to wage war, or abetting waging of war, against the Government of India

Summary

This section makes it a crime to wage war against the Government of India, to try to wage such war, or to help someone else wage such war. A person who does any of these things can be punished with the death penalty or life imprisonment, and may also have to pay a fine.

Official Text

Whoever wages war against the Government of India, or attempts to wage such war, or abets the waging of such war, shall be punished with death, or imprisonment for life and shall also be liable to fine.
