Summary

If a person makes a fake coin, or knowingly takes part in any step of the process of making a fake coin, that person commits an offence. The punishment for this offence can be imprisonment for up to seven years, along with a fine.

Official Text

Whoever counterfeits or knowingly performs any part of the process of counterfeiting coin, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to seven years, and shall also be liable to fine.
