Summary

If someone intentionally blocks another person from moving in a direction that the person is legally allowed to go, that act is called wrongful restraint. The obstruction must be voluntary, meaning the person doing it chooses to block the other person. This section defines what wrongful restraint means, but does not describe any punishment or legal consequences for it.

Official Text

Whoever voluntarily obstructs any person so as to prevent that person from proceeding in any direction in which that person has a right to proceed, is said wrongfully to restrain that person.
