If someone intentionally blocks another person from moving in a direction that the person is legally allowed to go, that act is called wrongful restraint. The obstruction must be voluntary, meaning the person doing it chooses to block the other person. Whoever voluntarily obstructs any person so as to prevent that person from proceeding in any direction in which that person has a right to proceed, is said wrongfully to restrain that person.
